Two of my favorite Thanksgiving recipes are from PinchmySalt’s blog. Her food has never disappointed. Often I take her amazing recipes and add my only little twist to make it even more amazing!
First off: Sourdough Stuffing with Apples and Bacon – while everyone has their favorite stuffing that they expect to consume and be comforted by for Thanksgiving, this is a delicious alternative that should be put into rotation at least once every couple of years. We have made it our staple stuffing every year since 2009. I look forward to it now as a comfort food!
Secondly: Butternut Squash and Sweet Potato Gratin – Perhaps you don’t make this for the day of Thanksgiving because you already have mashed potatoes and sweet potato dishes, but this is great if you have any Fall pre-Thanksgiving or post-Thanksgiving dinner or potlucks to attend. Fairly easy to make, as long as you don’t slice off your fingers while cutting the butternut squash, and even easier to bake.
